What is the function of each area within Country Ridge Cottage Venue?
The Cottage – A rustic indoor space ideal for ceremonies, receptions, dinners, or meetings. Features include wood-paneled walls, high ceilings, chandeliers, and tall windows. Double doors open to a wooden deck and a 1,900 sq. ft. covered patio overlooking private wooded acreage.
The Field – An elegant outdoor ceremony space featuring a gazebo, arbor, and natural greenery. Located behind the Cottage, it’s perfect for open-air ceremonies, cocktail hours, or dancing under the stars beneath soft cafe lighting.
The Patio & Covered Deck – An additional 1,900 sq. ft. of covered outdoor space connected to the Cottage. Ideal for mingling, dining, or enjoying shaded views of the surrounding landscape.
The Bride’s Room – A private dressing and lounge area for the bridal party. (Mirrors and additional amenities coming soon.)
What is the maximum number of guests permitted?

What is included in the rental?
Rental includes access to the Cottage, Patio, Field, and Barn. We provide:

Need help with setup? We can provide table and chair setup with linens for an additional fee. Just let us know during your planning meeting.
You're also welcome to bring in your own rentals and decor.
What is your catering policy?
Choose from our approved list of catering partners, including full-service caterers, restaurants, and food trucks.
Using an unlisted caterer? No problem—a $200 outside catering fee applies.
Note: All vendors must be licensed and insured. Proof of insurance must list Country Ridge Cottage as an additional insured.
Are food trucks allowed?
Yes! We love food trucks and welcome them at our venue.
What is your alcohol service policy?
Alcohol must be purchased and served through our TABC-certified bartending partner. A venue-appointed chaperone is required during events where alcohol is served.
Are we required to have insurance?
Yes, Country Ridge Cottage Venue requires a certificate of liability insurance coverage for every event. Go to The Event Helper or check with your homeowners insurance company for event date coverage.
Is the Venue air conditioned and heated?
Yes.
Is there a dance floor? Do I need to install a temporary dance floor?
Yes, there is a dance floor located right at the center of the property which overlooks the gazebo. The dance floor is integrated in the patio.
What happens if it rains?
We offer flexible options. You may flip the indoor space between ceremony and reception. The 1,900 sq. ft. covered deck provides partial shelter, though it's not fully waterproof. Drips may occur, and the sides remain open.
We recommend hiring a professional planner to manage weather-related transitions.
Is there a kitchen?
The venue has a small kitchenette inside the cottage. Your caterer will arrive with food prepared at their commercial kitchen. Cooking is not allowed on property.
Is there a groom’s room?
No, we do not have a groom's room. Traditionally, groomsmen arrive ready for photos, and have access to the Venue's interior space prior to the wedding.
Where are the restrooms located?
The restrooms are located in the cottage with a full shower. We currently have two restrooms on the property.
Can I show videos or a slideshow?
Yes,
Is a sound system provided?
Your band or DJ will provide all of the sound equipment needed for your event. However we do provide a 2000 watt speaker system for an additional fees.
What is the noise situation at Country Ridge Cottage Venue?
If your event is held in one of the outdoor spaces, you may hear service / county road noise, some air traffic noise from planes landing at McKinney National Airport located 3 miles south, and various sounds from neighboring farms.
Is someone from Country Ridge Cottage Venue here during the event?
Not included, but Yes, there can be an team member on site during your event for an additional charge.
Is there sufficient parking?
Yes. We offer:

36 marked and 3 unmarked on-site spaces

50 additional spaces at a remote lot
Guests typically carpool. Shuttle service is available through us for $200 (covers 1st and last hour). Uber and Lyft also service the area.
Who does the decorating?
The Venue is a raw space that lends itself to unlimited decorating options. You may hire professionals, or decorate the spaces yourself.
Who is responsible for setting up the tables & chairs prior to our event?
All tables and chairs, both indoors and outdoors, will be set up by you, unless event coordination services are hired prior. Thirty days prior to your event, we will have a planning meeting to finalize your floor plan and event details.
Who is responsible for cleaning the space?
A $250 cleaning fee is required. We ensure the venue is clean upon your arrival. You and your vendors are responsible for removing food, decor, and rentals after the event. Additional cleaning charges may apply if the venue is not returned to its original condition.
What are the hours allowed for my event?
You may select your preferred time slot at booking. Your rental window includes setup, event, and breakdown. Early setup or storage is not allowed due to other events and tours.
Do you allow same-sex weddings at Country Ridge Cottage Venue?
Yes, we welcome everyone here at Country Ridge Cottage!
Am I allowed to hold a rehearsal at Country Ridge Cottage?
Yes. A two-hour rehearsal can be added to any package for an additional fee.
Is there a deposit required?
Yes. A refundable $500 deposit is due before your event and will be returned if all contract terms, including cleanup and damage, are satisfied.
Is there a fee and gratuity charge?
Yes. A flat fee and gratuity is applied to all packages.
Are they any special discounts or offers?
Yes! We currently offer the following discounts:

Book 3 Days, Pay for 2
When you book any three days, you’ll only pay for two. The lowest-priced day is free. -
Book 2 Days, Get 50% Off the 2nd Day
When you book two days, receive 50% off the lower-priced day. -
Same-Day Booking Discount
Receive a 20% discount when you book the venue on the same day as your tour.

Note: Multi-day discounts are only applicable for days within a 7 day week. Can not be 2 Saturdays.
What are your payment options?
We offer two flexible payment plans:

Standard Plan – 50% due at the time of booking and the remaining 50% due within two weeks.

Installment Plan – 25% due at the time of booking with the remaining balance spread across monthly payments. A flat processing fee of applies for this option.
